The My Files tab on your dashboard is home to any personal videos, images, screenplays or PDF documents you would like to upload, share with students, Teacher Assistants or display on your Profile.

Uploading Files

  • Click on the My Files tab

  • Click on Upload File.

  • Choose whether you want to upload a single file (it can be video, pdf, jpeg) or an image collection

  • When you click on Upload a file, you will get this pop-up window to upload and the supported files and their sizes information

  • Once your file is successfully uploaded, it will show in the list.

Shared Instructor Folder is for shared files among all instructors in the same Smashcut environment.

IMPORTANT: As an Instructor, only you have access to your My Files. However, you can access Student's My Files. Students only have access to their own My Files - they can share them with the rest of the class in Discussions or privately.

In order to access Student files, you need to go to Students Tab. Please check this article on how to view Student files.

You can also share any of your uploaded files with others. When you hover over the file, you will see 'Share' Icon on the right hand side.

Please view this Help Article on How to Share Files.

If you want to display and add any videos or documents on your Profile, check our Displaying Videos and Documents on my Profile article.

You can show the files uploaded to your My Files in the Live Video Meetings.
