The crew tab allows you to organize students into groups and even assign them projects to work on together. Follow these steps to create crews:

Click on “Create Crew”

Enter your details like Crew name, program, and assign any projects to it. You can skip adding a project to the crew if you simply want your students to collaborate as a group.

Click on "Continue"

Note: You can only assign one instructor to every crew in this step, but you can also add multiple instructors/TAs as members of the crew.

From here, your crew will be created and you will be able to add the students that will be in the same crew. Simply click "Create crew" once you are happy with your selections.

You will now see a "Crew hub" button at the top of your Smashcut dashboard. If you have created more than one Crew, you will be able to select which one you want to access.
