A Live Video Meeting is a one-on-one meeting opportunity with your Instructors and Teacher Assistants. But, much more than seeing and listening to each other like a regular video call, it has many features that will improve your conversation!

Here are the main features you should be aware of when in a Live Video Meeting:

1. Chat

You will be listening to each other but, did your Instructor mention a director's name that you don't know how to spell? Or do you want to share a link? There are many uses for sending text messages while on a LVM! To do so, simply click on the Chat Button, as shown below.

2. Sharing a project or video

With our live video meeting tool you are able to share videos, screenplays and PDF documents live with your Instructor or Teacher Assistants. This allows you to get feedback while visibly looking at the sections of your projects that need further discussion together.

You can share files that you uploaded either as PROJECTS or MY FILES tab content. To share a file, click on the List icon next to the Select Project bar. The origin and the name of all the files available to be shared will show. Choose one and click on it to open.

Note: If you still want to see your Instructor and the Chat window during the reproduction of the chosen file, keep the Chat Button active so that you both still show in the left side of the screen, like the example below. If you want to see only the video, just hide the Chat clicking again on the Chat Button.

3. Review Comments

You will notice that it is possible to review comments made on media files prior to your live video meeting. Click the comment icon at the top right of your selected media.

You can review screenplay comments as well.

Comments may be sorted by the Newest or Sequential, and also be shown per page or for the entire document.

If you want to preview a comment, simply click on the comment icon as shown below.

Tip: remember that while the content shared is a synced experience, each of the participants of a Live Video Meeting may set the interface independently. For example if you choose to hide the chat clicking on the Chat Button, that will affect only your view of the meeting.

You can find us on our Help Chat tool if you need help with anything!
