The Discussions tab contains a message board where you can chat with fellow students, Teacher Assistants, and your Instructor. Here, you may also share files you uploaded in the My Files tab.
Sending Direct Messages
You can also send a direct message to your Instructor and Teacher Assistants in the Discussions tab. This is the best place to get in contact with your Instructor for quick communication. Here's how:
In the Discussions Tab, find the name of your Instructor or Teacher Assistant in the Channels list. Click on his/her name.
If you want to delete a message you sent, click on the unwanted message and then on the Trash Icon, as shown below:
Sharing Files
In the Discussions Tab, you may also share a file you uploaded as a Project or in the My Files Tab:
In the Discussions tab, click on the folder symbol next to the Send button, in the bottom of the page.
Choose which file you want to share and click on Select.
It will show above the message field. Write a message telling everyone what the file you are sharing is about and click on Send.
We encourage you to participate in the Discussions tab a lot! Communicating and sharing are important actions for you to have the most of your program experience!
